Tribe Pictures Wraps up 2014 on a Winning Note

Production company racks up 15 medals for work in corporate and educational sectors, including CINE Golden Eagle honors and Aurora Awards’ Platinum Best of Show recognition.

CHATHAM, NJ – December 29, 2014 – Tribe Pictures, the production company that helps corporations, non-profits and educational institutions humanize themselves through the power of film, has wrapped up 2014 on a winning streak.

Work the company strategized, concepted and produced over the course of the year has been recognized with 15 major awards from a range of festivals around the country, including the four Platinum Best of Show winners at the Aurora Awards and a CINE Golden Eagle. In addition, Tribe Pictures’ work scored at INTERCOM, the non-theatrical, corporate and educational film festival that’s part of the Chicago International Film Festival, at the US International Film Festival and at the Telly Awards.

Leading the winners list was “Build, Connect, Protect,” produced for Stanley Black & Decker, which promotes the company’s diverse products and services in the consumer, industrial and security sectors. It also won one of Tribe’s four Platinum Best of Show honors at the Aurora Awards as well as a Silver Plaque from INTERCOM and a Certificate of Creative Excellence from the US International Film Festival.

Also winning Platinum Best of Show recognition at the Auroras were “Heart Center,” which profiles the accomplishments of the Montefiore Einstein Center for Heart and Vascular Care at Montefiore Medical Center in New York; a fast-paced review of market and business development efforts on the part of global financial services company KPMG; and a case study video on a successful marketing campaign in the Philippines for Colgate-Palmolive.

Three separate Tribe Pictures projects for Hess Corporation were honored in 2014. “Digital Rock Labs,” a look at the high-technology efforts Hess is putting into extracting oil from the Bakken formation, and “Values: Integrity in the North Sea,” which examines the company’s work at decommissioning oil wells in the North Sea, both took Gold Medals at the Aurora Awards, with “Digital Rock Labs” also winning a Silver at INTERCOM. “Safety Offshore,” a film that details the company’s commitment to safety on its oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico, was recognized with a Bronze at the Telly Awards.

Tribe’s film for PSE&G, the New Jersey-based electric and gas utility, was honored with a CINE Golden Eagle. It highlights the demanding work of the company’s Delivery Projects & Construction division, tasked with maintaining and updating its power grid and gas lines, and uses the stories of its employees as a powerful recruiting tool to attract new talent.
Another Gold winner, this time at the Aurora Awards, was a film Tribe made for the pharmaceutical company Actavis-Anda that underscores its commitment to small, independent pharmacies.

Tribe also won a Certificate of Excellence from the US International Film Festival and achieved Certificate status at INTERCOM for an investor relations film produced for the energy company BHP Billiton, and won a Bronze Telly for an upbeat student recruitment film produced for the University of Vermont.
